Hail all:
Firstly, I am still a very professional noob hobbyist experimenting with sound and music.
I have no idea, what I am doing, really ... . lol
So please, bear with me (I have severe Asperger's and severe ADHD.).
Issue 1): 2-deck simultaneous start in Record Mode:
I had set Num 9 "deck 1 play_pause & deck 2 play_pause".
Press Num 9, both work nicely, both decks start to play, starting together.
Entering Record Mode:
Set file name, set file location, press Record:
Recorder waits nicely for sound.
Press Num 9 ... NADA.
Exit Record Mode:
Num 9 works, nicely indeed, as intended.
Odd?
Record Mode, redo steps, press Record, waits for sound.
Press Num 9 ... *fart* (read: NADA.).
Google:
No solution found.
YouTube:
No solution found.
I fail to get this.
Issue 2): Auto-Sync and Match BPM:
I have 2 songs, 1 version is 2 seconds longer (thus a tad slower).
Starting both, they are nice in beat, but a minute into the song, a horrible echo-type oddity appears, and I just can't get rid of this.
I tried the BPM editor, following a YouTube Video, but that did not help at all. :S
Most likely me being Pro-Noob again.
Deck a: 9.21.6 min
Deck b: 9.28.8 min
BPM shows "compatible" (both have the same BPM according to VDJ, however, I learned from several sources, VDJ just ain't quite very right in there).
Now, both songs are "identical" (one just has different instruments programmed in, it's a techno song, I believe, from some MIDI editor program, or something similar at least), except for the speed in which were recorded.
Idea is to record both versions into a single mixed version, containing all of each version.
But, there then is this slight recording difference.
Why the fella did this, no idea, but I totally fail to undo this ... .
Please assist?

Perhaps those 2 Tracks do not have a constant Beat grid and at some point they go "off".
Are you using any controller ? If so, which ?
Can you upload and share those 2 Tracks to check ?

Did you close the settings window before pressing Num9? You should hit record (you’ll get the message “waiting for sound to begin recording…”) then you need to press the X in the top-right to close that window. Then, when you press Num9 or any other play button, the recording will start.

I had set the settings, closed the Settings window.
As I tried to record both decks simultaneously, I prepped both decks, had both songs lined up, set the filename and pace where to put it, pressed Num9 ... and nothing happens.
When I close the Record window, it magically works again.
Redid the filename and place in Record window, pressed Num9 ... NADA again.
Been looking on Google, Youtube, and several other searchengines ... "de nada informacion".
Typical, the past decade AI became ABSENT Intelligence, seems, in Searchengines. :(
