I was hoping someone at VDJ would chime in on this and help out. When I look into getting a new Mac book pro I really do not look at the basic system needs, I think about the future needs so if you were getting a new mac book Pro but thinking 6 or 7 years ahead, what would you buy now in the mac to run like a champ for years in the future. like how much RAM is enough, how many Coors will I need to have, and will I need the m3 chip in 7 years? for example, bought my first Mac in 2012 and it was only because Apple stopped updating that Mac that I bought my next Mac and now the only reason I'm getting a new Mac is i have an Intel chip and because I love the new feturs all the stems the intel chip just does not cut it and it's just not standing up to the m1 and the m2 just blows it away so looking ahead for 5 to 7 years what needs to be in this mac now to make it still running at the top of its game in 7/8 years
