I don't know if this is to do with my workflow or an issue in Virtual DJ.
I use VDJ for dance class work and the flow goes roughly like this...
Teach, then go to music
Pick a track, double click to load it to a deck, play it for 1-2 mins, stop the track
Teach some more, then go to music
Pick another track, double click to load it to a deck, play it for 1-2 mins, stop the track
repeat a few more times...
Then when lesson is over and ready to social dance...
Pick another track, double click to load it to a deck, play it.
During play, start dragging tracks into the automix pane and as soon as I drag a track across the playing track stops. Every one looks at the stage wondering what I did and why the track stopped. This has happened on multiple nights now and I'm really nervous about dragging tracks over mid track and instead have faded down early on my mixer, drag the track over then restart play and fade up again.

Is it something I'm doing wrong, a setting or something that needs fixing?
I've tried on the latest build and it does the same.

Yes, can happen since you are probably using DualDeck mode for automix.
Put the setting AutomixdualDeck back to default-No, so that you can have a "free" Deck for manual loading/mixing, leaving the other Deck only for Automix

Thanks DJDAD, I've tested with dualdeck disabled and reverted back to automix on a single deck. I was using the dual deck option is it was nicer seeing the current and next track on different decks in larger text.
This method works OK and doesnt suffer the same issue when dragging a track over, I'll just need to ensure the first track into social dancing after the teach part is running on the automix deck, otherwise the next track wont start.
I'll alter my workflow to use the newer single deck automix.
