Hey everyone,
I'm considering buying a Lenovo Legion Go for use with Virtual DJ since all my music is now stored on the cloud. Has anyone made a similar switch? Would love to hear your thoughts 😄

Didn't get much enthusiasm lol for those who are interested, as of now, it can run VDJ like charm sadly just with Stems 1.0 on the fly... (unless you pre-compute them)

i would definitely not recommend that. the 'putting all the eggs in one basket' thing can very easily turn around and bite if you lose your internet connectivity and then you get to tell your customers "sorry, no music" because you don't have a library on your computer or in hard drives.
using the cloud is an 'in addition too' and definitely not ' substitute for' having music and video with you.

Someone asked about using a Rog Ally a couple of months ago but there was no response to that either.
Although quite acceptable these gaming consoles are a niche use case.

if you are going to use cloud streaming, it's okay.
I also prepare for a backup in my game consoles, then it would be safe.
But, in January i bought the legion go, i had the same thought as you have, and try to use it to DJing
Fact is, legion go crashes again and again even without DJing.
I thought it may be the AMD's driver fault, so i try to reinstall the windows, but not working
Finally i return it back to lenovo, and get my money back... A terrible experience
Lenovo makes good stuff, I use a Y7000P 2021(Intel) in my home, it works great for 3 years, no crash or bluescreen
maybe it's that hardware had some problems, cause AMD is not stable for working, only good for gaming
everytime i buy amd computers i got tons of problem lol, even i buy the one i trust-- Lenovo
so i trust AMD not any more...
But you can still try Legion Go, I have another DJ friend who bought it for DJing, he dont get those problems, maybe just im not lucky to get a bad hardware
Finally, I choose MSI CLAW in my workflow, though it's much more expensive than legion Go, and got smaller screen, but it use Intel CPU, and quite stable

I have purchased LEGIONG GO in September to use with VDJ, the linked devices are CDJ and DJM, the use is very perfect and stable, there has been no crash, you can use it with confidence!!

Hi, im new :D. Well, just my 2 cents here.
I bought a Legion Go and after tweaking the bios (40Watts) and using Motion Assistant for restricting CPU (35Watts) and GPU Speeds (950Mhz), i can dj with 2 x USB cameras (1080 30fps), DVS or Phase, Stems faster than my old Rog Strix G15 - 1650ti - and my Omnitronic CMX- 2000 mixer running the smallest latency i can, without hearing pops or having high temperature (44..100 - 49 Samples, 1ms). I have 3 VST running on the master (compresor, maximizer and Eq) and ocasionally Mobius Looper. PitchQuality and ScratchfilterQuality to the max. :D
It runs really well and the Legion Go its extremely portable. Forgot to tell, heavy scratching works also well :D, without clicks or pops.
With the default 30w power i did heard some clicks sometimes with stems, with 40 watts the temp was too hot (95 celsius up to 99). With 35 watts its always cooler than 90, in fact it just spikes when the stems are beeing analyed and then it goes down. The stem settings is "Always". The cpu speed flutters between 4,0 and 4,3 Ghz.
I use the factory 65 Watts power supply and 2 tiny cheap usb Hubs for connecting Phase, Cameras, Maschine MK2, cheap chinese Wireless mic and other stuff. The power runs on the hub and then to the Legio go, so i have only the mixer conected directly to the legion go and the rest to the hubs.
Well, hope that helps if anyone its considering this option. These units can be found here in EU for 300 - 350 Euros.
I ve testet this setup life, and it works great.
Cheerios!

I recently purchased 2 Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition (16″ Intel)
Very happy with them. Bought mine with the RTX4060 GPU. Currently, they have up to a RTX 5070 GPU.
Not sure what your budget is.
This is the latest model:

Thanks, have added your quote to the thread discussing latency on Windows laptops for reference.
