I agree, it stops automatic playlists saving between sessions, but in that case, if you do want the Automix list to persist, just save it to a list before quitting VirtualDJ, and reload that list on new session startup when needed 🤷🏾♂️.
I guess the takeaway here is the safety feature seems to be already in (prompting before replacement of an unsaved Automix list and a saved Automix list is recoverable).
Adding additional safety will either nag enough to force eventually not doing the double click by habit (a prompt) or could occasionally be confusing (ignoring the playlist double click...sometimes wondering why the list didn't update), but I guess it wouldn't hurt to add.

Well, if it could be an opt-in feature, it would not hurt user that are used to the current workflow.
