Hi
I have files in my iTunes library list with the red cross. I am unable to delete them. I have done the following:
1. File operations>Delete - Nothing happens
2. File operations>Show in finder - Nothing happens
3. Checked the iTunes root folder on my mac - no such folder exists
4. There are no virtual folders, so no files there
5. I saw that you can go to Browser options>Database>Remove etc... on a thread but I think it's an old thread as I am unable to see where to do this in the setting of version 781.2034
6. This is a clean install on VDJ today.
To be honest I was having the same problem in Serato earlier today and thought ok, that's me done with it, I'm going back to VDJ (Only went to Serato as I got the Pioneer DDJ-SR2 controiller a few months back) and tbh I hate Serato compared to VDJ, I just need to get rid of these tracks.
Any help appreciated - thanks in advance.

I've found the browse>database>remove missing files option but they are still there :-(

then your itunes list is still listing those tracks, maybe you've deleted them outside itunes and not updated the itunes listing.

I've looked in iTunes and can't see them, i'll check again....thanks.
