Hi. i updated my virtual to a new verison and my history and playlists diassapear, although the files are on my mac. how can i restore them on my new virtual?

Have you tried rebooting your mac?
The files may just be locked by an earlier session

Did you by any chance tried to reset settings ?
I'm asking because on newer installations if you reset settings, the "HOME" folder for VirtualDJ changes location.
So, open settings, go on options and click on COG icon as shown on manual:

This should open VirtualDJ "Home" folder on finder.
If it has moved location since previously, just move the files from the old location inside the new one
