"Here's a glossary of the Pioneer CDJ-700S skin, which have a lot of hidden functions. The list is not exhaustive but here are some examples. Always remember that all buttons often have 2 or more functions, try to right-click or doube-click to see what happens.
-- Numeric textzones ---------------------
Right-click the numeric textzones to switch time counters into beats counter. The time counters are pitch dependent.
-- Author/Title textzone -------------------------
Left-click these textzones to switch between values.
Author: then comment, title, counter
Title: then comment, author, left time, counter
If you right-click the textzones, you set the comment of the song.
-- Seek buttons ----------------
The designs across the rotating deck are fully working
>> The arrows (vertical) : shift loop
Press with left click to shift 4 beats
Press with right click to shift 16 beats
>> The REV / FWD buttons : seek the song
Press with left click to skip 4 beats
Press with right click to skip 16 beats
Double click rapidly with left will skip 128 beats
-- Manual loop buttons -----------------------
There is the 1.07 new feature "loop_length"
LI : Set the entry point of the loop
LO : Leftclick set the out point of the loop
Right-click exits or reloop the loop
LE : Left-click slowly reduces the length of the loop
Right-click slowly increases the length of the loop
-- Pitch -------------
There are two arrows at the top of pitch slider for pitch precision.
If you right click on these controls, you will temporarily bend the current pitch "Value" to adjust the phase of your other songs.
If you rightclick the "pitch_reset control", it will instantly initialise the pitch of the song (be careful). Also double click provides same feature.
-- Gain --------
Right click on the gain slider will adjust the value to other deck. Double click will reset the slider.

I want to ask a question to the team:
As you can see, the skin as a "manual" cause of the hidden features of it. The text is long I don't see it in the skin page. Make it as a comment is no solution. I will add the txt file in the skin archive but many peoples won't read it.
I'm looking for a solution, for the moment the forum is the only one I see. Have any suggestion?

really we shouldnt have to "post" anywhere about a new skin, they should be immediately added to the skins section when they are skins of this quality, you know...good marketing tactics and all. but apparently Fruit94 has had problems uploading his new skins which no one has bothered to solve, so i've taken the time, effort and bandwidth to host the skin (you know, your job) and posted here as more users read this forum than the skins section, as i am trying to make it obviously available to everyone on this board.
i personally dont see why everything has to be so adherent to specified categories. doesn't this post qualify as "Anything about Virtual DJ"?? your rules not mine. move this post to the skins forum if it matters that much.

Hi colonel
In fact this skin has no problems to upload to the site. Only the Tascam stills have problems.
But,
For this one I simply wait the code for the "pannel" feature to update it cause this is actually a "beta" version.
I could certainly submit it.
The only question I had is: what about the manual? Where can I put it for good visibility?

This night I had an idea (wow!)
When a new skin is loaded, could VDJ look into the skin archive if there's a txt file? If there's a txt, VDJ would load a small window (like the Kaleo's plugin "filters") to show the manual of the skin, that the user can close himself. A kind of splashscreen that would display the txt manual.
It would allow the manual to be read by all the skin users. You know like in Proppelerhead Reason, when you load a new existing song, there's a splash which allow to see a jpg and the author's name.
What you think about?

I think it is a pretty good idea, they could also do the same thing with the actual users manual for VDJ, which would be useful for "on the go quick referencing with out internet conection".

Thanks Redman for your support. I hope that will be cause the skin always becomes darker and better, always more functions but in the same graphical environment. Without a manual, many peoples won't see the power of the skin and that sucks.

I already added new features to the cdj700s:
- ability to adjust the entry and out points of manual loops with two knobs.
- also added two other knobs for fine nudge.
- skip beat will be BETTER.
- small bugs corrected.
I wonder I can submit the skin soon.
