From simply switching on my Intel i7 PC, i initiate Virtual DJ Pro 2023 to startup, but upon loading, it simply hangs as the Windows cursor goes around and around its egg timer phase, the program is non responsive, and eventually goes dim with the dialog message 'NOT RESPONDING', it happened occasionally with previous versions, but since the 2023 update, I haven't been able to use it, so I've switched to a different DJ Program temporarily, in the hope i can find a solution. I've tried to repair it via a fresh installation, but no luck.

I have the same issue on my i9-9900k machine, used to work fine with all the same hardware, now it just hangs at the welcome to virtual dj connect screen? I have uninstalled and re-installed, not solved it.

I have the same problem.
If I connect my traktor kontrol s2 mk3 and then start virtualdj, the application will just hang.
I installed some older versions of virtualdj, because at least in december 2022 it was working.
But no luck with older versions as well.

Try renaming your settings.xml file with VDJ closed to see if a fresh one soves the issue.

Thank you for your suggestion., but still the same with a fresh setings.xml file in my user-folder.
Btw, when VDJ hang's, I can not even kill it with the taskmanager. I have to do a reboot to get rid of it.

If it helps anyone here. I had the same issue until about 20 minutes ago. This is despite completely restore windows, removing graphics drivers and audio drivers for the Berhinger UMC404HD.
The solution for me in the end was to move the interface to another port (directly connected to the motherboard (*note the previous port was also direct and worked for other windows apps) but for some reason now the software doesn't hang.

After uninstalling some recent software packages (sorry I did several at once, so I can not tell which one did the trouble) it is working again.
I uninstalled (e.g. DisplayPort,Citrix,some Intel graphic driver stuff). I suspect it had something to do with citrix.

Yes citrix creates issues sometimes. It adds one additional video adapter in the list. I had crashes in the past with some directx games (using DXGI) because of that.
