Hello,
Is there a way to have a brake effect when hit/release the cue button (instead of stopping right away)?

Have you tried the "brake start" effect ?
Otherwise you can adjust the rampStartTime and rampStopTime settings for a more permanent solution.

Thanks, I tried this rampStopTime option before, but this only causes the brake effect when hitting the Stop button, not when releasing the Cue button...

Anyone having an idea? I see this on videos often, but no idea how to achieve this..

nothing stopping you making it, that's what padpages are about
with hotcueMode play, and a rampStart, rampStop time
you could have something like this on your pads
that's just the first thing that came to mind.
If you've got an idea, just try make it. You might need help but the easiest/best help you'll ever get is when you've tried yourself.
Primary reason is people who want to learn are worth the time teaching
Second reason is when you try and get stuck, then get help, you remember it better.

play ? hot_cue 1 & up ? pause : : goto_cue 1 & play & up ? pause :

just make it and share it, you have the idea, you have the tools.
1 you made it and djs across the planet use it, which should be a source of pride.
2 if it's popular then atomix will co-opt it and it will be a standard eventually.
3 even if it's not popular, you still have the thing you want.
or you could passively "+1" and wait for something that might not happen, but you have options.

True - I honestly am quite impressed by the flexibility of VDJ. Thanks.
