I'm new to virtualdj and DJing in general so sorry if this is a silly question. I have a Traktor kontrol s2 which only has 3 EQ knobs. I'd like to map my controller so that I can use these knobs to the advanced EQ (stems) option - so for example my standard knobs would control hihat/vocal/kick and then I could map shift_EQ_low to control bass and shift_EQ_mid to control instrument or something. I can't figure out if this is possible. Anyone know how to do this or have an alternative?

with stems on, the bottom dial will do a stem and in mapping if you press shift & twist that dial you should be offered a
shift_SOMETHING entry to map
add this script
eq_low_freq
shift_SOMETHING entry to map
add this script
eq_low_freq

Ah nice, thank you! This does seem to work from what I can hear, but I can't see it on my display which is a bit annoying. As in, when I shift+turn knob it does remove the bass rather than the kick but the knob on my screen for bass doesn't change. Is there a way to get it to show up visually?

Also do you know how to do the same/similar for instrument? I see that now gain is mapped to this but it doesn't show up on my visual.

well you're only going to see one or the other [stem setting/eq setting], unless you add dials to the skin.
Are you actually using stems as an dial or simply as a mute/solo?
stem pads might be a better option.
but you could use the script for shift_ action , for non shift use & then for your shift use
stem kick
resizing stuff and adding extra visual dials isn't that big a deal
