Hi Everyone,
Here is my setup

Mac book pro Mojave 10.14.6
Controller: Pioneer DDJ 800
Virtual DJ build 6886


VDJ Frooze in the middle of the Gig last night with audio stopped and I had to force quit VDJ and reopen . Let me know if any of you seen this issue ?

Any suggestions on a stable build that i can go back ?

Get previous build

tricky to diagnose with "just froze" as the only info, but sometimes that's all the info there is. Try replicate upto the freeze.
There's a few things to ask
video? any fx being used at the time?
year of the mac book will help
using any content providers? [there's been problems with beatport recently]
if you remember the track it froze with does it play fine now?

No Video ....No Fx used at the time of issue

Yes the track i was playing is playing now ..

Quick update : I checked Pioneer website and updated the firmware today for DDJ800 from 1.1 to 1.2 ( Issue happened with Firmware 1.1)

Question: Will there be a log or crash report for this in VDJ folder ? not sure if i force quit VDJ software will be give a log ?
 
Update : Issue happened again today with 3 hours running and only change is i upgraded the DDJ800 firmware from 1.1 to 1.2

i will go back to older code , Any suggestions on stable build with my situation ? 6800?
 
you might try with math engine setting off and see what happens
 
Update : I downgraded to Build 6800 and the issue happens again :(
I noticed the issue happens when i am playing a track on the Deck1 and i load a track on Deck2 and press cue button it hangs.
MathEngine is set to OFF currently.
 
I couldn't say what to go back to, generally forward builds have the fixes [newer builds might add issues but they're addressed as they occur and usually they're fleeting]
digging in to fault finding, are you using "metal" as your display engine, [I'm not going into how how I hate they use nouns to name protocols]
BUILD 6921 [the most recent public build] actually has fixes for metal compared to 6886
 
In the change log i can see "Improve performance of video playback on mac" and "Fix audio recording on mac"
Is that related to Metal?
 
Metal is not enabled .

i am going to try going back to older builds ...
 
Can someone send a link for older Builds 56xx ?
 
Update : Any build below 6503 works fine with out freeze ....
Experts : Any advise ?
 
If metal was not enabled you could try to enable it
