Ok I am using Pioneer DDJ400, master output going through a berhringer uca 222 audio interface into my laptop. So in theory becuse mic signal goes through master output VDJ should pick up/record mic even though it is unbalanced?

If the mic is connected to the DDJ-400 this is a hardware only mic (not part of the usb audio interface), and goes straight to the master out of the DDJ.400

So you need to either add a computer microphone (and set mic entry in VDJ sound setting to this mic)
OR, connect the speakers to the DDJ-400 and use that as the sound card instead.
OR, you can route the master output back to a computer line-in, and add a "record" entry in VirtualDJ sound setting equal to this line in.
depends on why you are using the behringer as sound card.
