Topic: Virtual DJ takes a long time to open.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I open Virtual DJ, it takes over a minute for the program to initialize. This started happening about a month ago and I can't figure out what's causing such a slow start. I checked if "precompute stems" was on, but it's set to manual.

Ideas and suggestions on a fix are appreciated.

Do you get any popups in the system tray/notification center about what is taking so long?

Nope.
 
Any chance you have any network drives mapped on your OS ?
 
Do you have many skins installed ? (can take a longtime to register)
verify if opening setting interface page takes same time
(having both network drives and many skins... it sometimes takes 2mins to open... and many more to close)
 
I had the same problem of VDJ taking a long time to open. My computer is two years old so I cleaned my registry and other missing or corrupted files and VDJ opens almost immediately!
