Hi, I just bought a Pioneer DDJ SR2 to use with Virtual DJ on my macbook. I've used the Pioneer DDJ SR on this same macbook with no problems. However, when I connect the SR2, I get this message:
"No sound card - Pioneer DDJ SR no inputs or outputs configured"
It is unusual that it is saying DDJ SR instead of SR2. The DDJ SR2 sound card is not available to select under the settings and Audio/Hardware
Also to note, I am able to use the knobs on the controller and they affect the corresponding knobs in the software. The problem seems to be specifically the audio output. Can someone help me with this? I'm a bit stumped. Thank you!

Hi, the problem was resolved. I did not have the most up-to-date driver. I had downloaded the most up-to-date driver but it wouldn't let me install it, and I did not realize that was because I'm using Mojave which is not the most recent Mac OS, so I needed to install an earlier driver. Once this was done, the audio output works fine.
Just adding this additional info in case someone else runs into this problem!

I’m having similar problems. What driver did you download? Pioneer or virtual Dj?
