Hi guys,
On Mac just setup with DJM 900 NEXUS and 2 x CDJ 2000 NEXUS via USB and USB hub....
Everything in terms of sound and control is working perfectly except I cannot assign the DJM crossfader to video Crossfader....
Northing happens. Also whilst the controls and knobs on the DJM work correctly, nothing on the laptop screen changes as in the controls all stay static on VDJ?
Help!

Have you installed the drivers and updated the firmware of DJM ? https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/archive/djm-900nxs/
Do you see the DJM in VDJ Settings->MAPPING tab and the factory default mapping available (and selected) ?
When you move the Crossfader on the DJM, does the CROSSFADER key come up in the Key Learn area ?
Note : Regardless how the DJM crossfader is mapped, it will always mix the Audio of the Channels.
So if you want to mix the video output with it, and mix audio with the channel faders, you need to put them to THRU positions.
Your DJM crossfader needs to be assigned as .. video_crossfader and also set Video Crossfader to Manual
(see VIDEO OUTPUT MENU in https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/interface/mixer/video.html )

Also DID you ENABLE MIDI on the DJM-900NXS ?
The Nexus model will not enter MIDI mode automatically. You need to press the MIDI start button.
Only NXS2 model enters MIDI mode automatically when connected to a PC.

Morning Gents,
Updated firmware on DJM 900NXS, Connected via USB and still no function on Crossfader.
Moving the crossfader has no effect on screen and it stays fixed at 50%. On the mixer I am on THRU.
Pressed MIDI Start as suggested, tried turning everything off and on again.... a bit bamboozled....
Factory setting is assigned to Crossfade
Custom mapping assigned to Video_Crossfader
Moving crossfader on the DJM does absolutely nothing to the display out
Also point that may be relevant or not, the channel faders are permanently up 100% on VDJ and do not move when i adjust on the DJM.

Did you enable midi on the djm as mentioned before?
