Hi there my question is which of those works better for virtual dj duo or quad core processors!

More is better :D

One of my older PCs used to have a dual core processor in it. I swapped it out for a quad core and the difference is pretty significant. Also upgrade the RAM if possible.

Thanks guys! But I have to ask you I have been testing i5 and i7 same laptop different cpu and results was different in this way: i5 with 2.3 ghz was faster compared to i7 quad core 2ghz when analyzing track the i 5 done it faster but i7 been analyzing 4 tracks at same time but was slower and wave form on the main screen was a bit drifting compared to i5 so I'm maybe wrong here but my conclusion is: the i5 at higher speed is better than slower i7 quad core , but the are different in price as well ,a big difference so I think is better to go for i5 higher speed clock than i7 at slover speed clock, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just saying "i5" or "i7" doesn't say much if you don't say the specific models.
There are now 11 generations of i5 and i7's, and in each generation there are i5's ranging from ultra-low-power to high-power desktop cpu's.

You need to look on the specs.
At Intel:
If the CPU has a "H" in the name = power/performance modell
If the COU has an "U" in the name = ultra low voltage energie saving modell
There are U modells available that have enough power for VDJ, but I would not recommend them for DJing at all.
(generally we are fighting more in the way to disable any kind of power saving options on a laptop during a gig, right?)
Depending on budget I suggest as well to think about a laptop with a CUDA grafix for STEMS.
I´m oretty happe now with a i7 10750H, 16GB RAM and a Nvidia RTX2060.
VDJ is just flying and the laptop os bored to death ;)

Octa-Core i9 for the win!!! :)

I have the Macbook Pro 16" with the 8 core i9 and it runs VDJ very well on Windows 10 Pro.
Obviously not as fast for stems as a dedicated GPU but quick enough for me.
