Topic: Problem VDJ8 EQ-LOW MID & HIGH

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello!

I have issues with the controls of EQ LOW MID & HIGH.

For some reason they sound wrong. When i for instance kill bass on a track, it's sounds like there's some sort of filter behind the button.

I have a youtube link with a small movie (watch the sound, could be loud) where the first part of the video is VDJ8 turning on EQ_LOW and the second part VD7 EQ-LOW, they sound totally different. Where VDJ7 actually kills the bass, VDJ8 doesnt doe that but does something else what is is not supposed to do.\

I reinstalled VDJ8 and put it back tot factory settings but still the same problem.

Does someone know how to fix this??

Set EQ mode to traditional frequency.
(guessing you mean latest VirtualDJ, and not VDJ8 that is already 5 years old ish. And change to the new default modern skin so you can see the correct view and eq labels)

You change the EQ mode at the small arrow at top of the EQ section in the default skins.
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/interface/mixer/audio.html (#3 in the manual)
Disable the stems on EQ in the EQ setting window there

(what you are referring to is a new feature called stems, where you can isolate parts of the song instead of frequency bands https://www.virtualdj.com/help/stems.html )

Haha yes, I'm an oldschool type, still like to use vdj7 from time to time :D The newer one was VDJ8 in my mind ;P

This fixed the problem, thanks! The settings were right until today, I must have accidentally clicked somewhere and changed the settings.

Big Thanks!
