This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi guys,

i know back in the days
amd graphic cards weren't recommended for virtual dj

i guess it hasn't changed much

anyways...

i just replaced my old laptop with a new one
i only use it for djing with virtual dj

lenovo thinkpad 13s
i5
win 10 64bit
intel uhd graphics 620
radeon 540x

first time using a radeon
i spent a few days trying to get it work
(google, youtube, various forums...)
failed

how can i get virtual dj to recognize radeon 540x?

thanks in advance for any input,
matt

recognized in what way?
For video mixing? will work and do the job ..

But I guess you mean the new stems feature? its only on Nvidia for now, for Windows (and AMD for now on Mac).
Will still work if you dont have, just using the CPU instead.

i meant, if i right click on the master video output
only the intel video card would show up
even in the option menu

loading was super slow
playing was choppy

for some reason out of nowhere...
(or maybe i just don't remember... because i tried so many things...)
although the master video output says intel
in the option menu it says radeon
and everything works flawless
even stem works
haha
awesome

thank you so much for the input

Try this, right-click the start icon on your desktop for VirtualDJ, and choose "run graphic processor with Radeon"..

Not sure AMD has this, but common for Nvidia. With AMD, I think you need to use the AMD Catalyst Control Center instead, and do same there
