Topic: Possible Bug: Smooth Crossfader Curve setting has same audio as FULL

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Using the lastest build of VDJ v8.4-64 b5681 (same with previous ver also)

Setting the crossfader curve to SMOOTH results with the FULL sound curve as you move crossfader. IE setting to SMOOTH is same as set to FULL. With SMOOTH the volume of the playing deck should decrease to 50% at center, now the volume remains at 100% (unchanged) till past 50% mark.. which is the curve for FULL.

Can someone confirm this?

Here is link to the Wiki showing the Crossfader Curve as they should function. https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Crossfader%20Curve.html

Work around: One could create a Smooth Curve by creating a custom curve that is the Smooth configuration.

Thank you in advance

Forgot to add that the other Crossfader curve settings (SCRATCH and CUT) function perfectly. And FULL functions as expected.

you're wrong, the difference is subtle, put there is a difference, at 50%, full is louder than smooth

You can also clearly see the difference on the Master VU meter and even the limiter when crossfading the same track (like if you do an instant double and then crossfade)
Full has higher volume in the center then smooth
So it matches the documentation:

Thank you yes it is subtle and was able to confirm they you guys are correct and that the SMOOTH crossfader does work correctly. Created a single tone of constant volume and can hear the diff when switching between FULL and SMOOTH.

Again thanks for your help
