Topic: System volume pop up [not vdj related]

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

The window fades, but I have to wait. Can't move it or close it.

I read elsewhere that this started happening in Windows 8. I'm using Windows 10, build 17763, on a laptop (Lenovo Yoga 710-15IKB). My Realtek driver is up-to-date.
Can I stop that wide black 'window' from popping up? Can I change it's size or location? Currently it pops up towards the top left of my screen.

(It only pops up if I use the keyboard volume keys. If I use my mouse to click the speaker icon on my Windows' [taskbar], a small volume slider appears, in the bottom right, but immediately disappears when I click out of it.)

Not vdj technical, and a repeat post. [Don't do that]

There are several ways to control system volume, how about not using the method that causes issues...

Sorry for repeating. I shortened the title, as you had suggested. (I could not change the title of my original post. Is it possible for users to change the titles of their own posts?)
