We don't block tellyvisuals at all, and there is no need to copy the dll anywhere.
Since it is a video effect, you are supposed to select it from the video panel (when using the default skin)

I think ron means it's not visible in config>extensions (as far as I can see)

I'll have to check, but it's probably because it is using a custom installer.
The extensions that can be installed from within vdj need to be only files that can be extracted to the plugin folder

Perhaps its because Telly Plugins have not been updated for a long time in our Addons page, so there is no 64-bit submission yet.

Locodog you're right..that was what I meant.

It is simply not possible for TV to work correctly on a deck. I have complained about it for years. Really any video plugin is going to be shaky on a deck at times but the simple ones (most of them) have less of a problem. It should not be a problem with the controller.

Here is the short version of the reasons: not sure how short I can make it lol

Even though decks show an interface for each deck, there is only one set of parameters saved. So next time you run I think it was be the last deck changed. At first you never knew what deck was going to save the parameters. TV manged the settings for any deck at first. It had to know what deck the parameters related to.. That was impossible to know. It may have changed now since they finally did one of the obvious things I suggested years ago.

I am not sure about the status of the effect buttons on a deck at this time but it has always been a problem When VDJ 8 came out, it was horrible with the audio only vis, overloaded effect buttons, and just stupid behavior. I jumped thur hoops to make it work but you can't fight lame behavior. There is much more to this part... Maybe I will look up the long version for you.

Don passed the above comment because I was getting a lot of crashes. I responded by moving the .dll files so that tellyvisuals and tellymedia appeared in the master effect tab. The crashes stopped. This could be a coincidence? Tellyvisuals runs very well as a master effect. Is that compatable with VDJ?
I was using the script deck master effect "tellyvisualsV" on a sub controller. Does that activate a master or deck effect?

You don't need to copy any files still.
Select telly visuals from the video panel in the skin (video effect drop down) and it will run on master output.
You don't have to select it on the deck if you don't want that.

deck master is indeed the way to activate it on master from script if you need that

still in a limited beta test as mentioned before Ron.
there is a workaround for using as deck effects that was discussed on the Facebook group, but I generally use as master effect and that works fine.

and just ran another test this morning - 64bit TellyVisuals Beta test with 64bit VirtualDJ 2018 Early Access build 4909 while pc is under moderately heavy load while running a game (kerbal space program :-) cause why not), graphics editing software, multiple browsers and tabs in each.

64bit TellyVisuals Beta with Shaders as Audio Only visualisation and A shader Panel behind the Chat content panel and with the quick creation of a basic panel being added on the fly with an incoming Tweet image at the 1:32 mark
