Topic: How do I delete samples from VDJ / Numark Mixtrack Edge?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Yesterday I was rehearsing for a gig using VDJ and my Numark Mixtrack Edge. My mic stand fell over and accidentally triggrered a SUPER LOUD audience sound which I realized was one of the samples. I’d really prefer to have these buttons disabled or delete the samples somehow so I don’t accidentally trigger them during my set. How can I go about doing that? Thanks all!

map a button on your keyboard to this command "sampler_volume_master 0" ... hit the button it will set the master volume for all samples to zero. you may need to hit this ever time you start up your system.

if you hit a sample it will just play with the volume all the way down.

Thanks! But is there anyway to just delete these samples, or move them somewhere else? Where are they stored exactly?

You don't need to delete them! Just select an empty bank.

If you look at your Virtual DJ directory, you can see where they're stored.

Thank you! I never use the directory. Now I see how it works. Cheers.

Must be quite a surprise when that sample starts without warning on a loud PA LOL :)

Sure as hell was! Lol
