Hi,
Is there any way of achieving a send/return function in Virtualdj?
At the moment effects are either per deck or on the master - which is great set up in terms of flexibility, don't get me wrong!
Just wondering if that can be added to by also doing send/return so that some (but not all) decks can be routed through the same effect.
Many thanks...

I've just stumbled across these two script verbs:
effect_fxsendreturndeck
&
effect_fxsendreturnenable
However they don't have any explanations in the VDJScript database (or anywhere else that I can find!).
Can anyone tell me what they do and how to use them?
I'm wondering whether they are for doing what I would like to do (setting up an Fx Send/return so that several decks can be simultaneously routed through a single Fx Slot/Bank)

They cannot be used for that.
They are for effects applied in hardware. They are used for some controllers that apply effects in hardware. It's not very likely that you need to use these yourself since the setup is a bit complicated (and requires an audio interface with enough spare inputs and outputs.

Thanks for clarifying that so quickly Adion .
So I take it that it is not possible to route decks output to an fx send/return (eg. using another deck as an effects bank)?

Apply the effects on master then, that's the same

Not quite as this means all decks pass through the Fx, rather than a selection.... But don't worry, just me being a bit OCD and seeing where the limits of the INCREDIBLE flexibility offered by VDJ lie..... (personally, for the record, if push comes to shove I prefer the separate Fx/deck vs Fx banks implemented in other programs anyway!)

I did make a suggestion recently that VDJ should allow the FX to be switchable between two modes - VDJ Mode and Other Mode - so that the vast majority of controllers on the market, that are designed for other DJ software, can be correctly mapped - with all functions in the software matching what's on the hardware.
At the moment the controls have to be mapped differently, which is confusing.
