What is the file extension type?

It might also mean that the file is not found anymore.
Check the file path in tag editor and see if it was moved perhaps.

Does anyone resolve this issue and how. im having it right now, check the file path and its correct the file its playable in other media players. any ideas

What type of file is it? Are you sure it's a type supported by VDJ (has it played OK before)?

Augh! I was wrong! But I did fix it. One way is to import every single track into it through the Finder. AUGH! There has to be a better way!

Ok! This time I really did fix it! It's easier than you think.

Right click on "iTunes" in the Browser and click "Reload." That's it.

I am having the same issue. The file plays when I initially put it in. When I close VdJ and open it back up it says unknown file type

I was going to upgrade to pro but this issue is really problamatic

Sounds like a very old bug fixed a long time ago:
There was issue in some tag writing making the file readable at first but not readable anymore once the tag was written
(ENDIANNESS error in some numeric field)

If the file reads OK in some other software try to remove tags and reloading it in VDJ
if it reloads chance the bug came back :/
