Hi there,
I am searching for a way to show the actual playing title and the next title or titles on a screen over the dance floor.
Is there any way to grab the actual playlist with a programm, send that to another PC that is connected to a big screen?
I did not find a forum entry that discusses this issue, or i did not serach with the right words.

There are a lot of ways you can use the same laptop to control the screen and let VDJ do the work. Especially with the new Video skin feature

Hm, sorry but i do net really understand how that works.
I use the skin The Thing, this is what i really need 2 decks and a big feature to maximize the search engine, and prehear titles.
Can i there add a second monitor to put some information on that second monitor like the playlist?
The monitor is in my back, so i can not see the screen, means i need to see tha playlist alos on my first screen on the laptop.
I want to give the publikum the chance to see what plays next, also i want to have some phots or videos from the last gig displayed there randomly.
Not an easy job i think :-)

I think there are several ways to do this...
One way would be to use a pop-up (floating) custom skin on the second screen, that just shows a playlist.
Another way would be to use a videoskin that shows the playlist (assuming videoskins can show browser etc).
Neither of these are "off the shelf" options. You would have to write the XML yourself or ask a skinner to do it.

hm, ok sounds difficult.
I can not see the second screen, so moving the playlist to that screen is not possible as then i do not see my playlist anymore.
Is there any chance to read a file ind VDJs directory that contains the actual playlist?
The best if that would be an XML file.
But i checked all open file activies during playin VDJ playlist and found no file that was read or written during that session.
Maybe the information is not stored on the disc and only displayed in the software VDJ itsself.
