Topic: Capturing Korg Kaoss DJ on board effects?

Love everything about the controller but every time I record my set I can never find a way for it to capture the on board effects too. Anyone know how to do that?

And if not through VirtualDJ, just any way in general? I even tried the loopback mode in Audacity and that wasn't working either.

If you want to record the effects that the Kaoss DJ produces, you'll have to record the output of the unit (the RCA connectors on the side).

If you use the record button in VDJ you're going to record the audio before it's been through the Kaoss DJ, so no effects.

So, your best choice is to use a Splitter cable, and route the Master Output signal from the Kaoss DJ to both your speakers and a line input of a sound card (e.g. your computer's line-in or Mic)
Then instead of using Audacity, you can add a "record" line in VirtualDJ Audio setup , using the sound card you are using and record with VirtualDJ
E.g.
Master ... Kaoss .. Chan 1,2
Headphones .. Kaoss .. Chan 3,4
record .. . Your computer's sound card .. Chans 1,2
