Hey,

I'm building a new rig and the company and software I used to run are out of business. I've had a VDJ license for forever for DJ stuff, but how usable is it to run primarily karaoke shows? I don't think I've used the software since like VDJ 5.

Are there some good plugins out there to help with a karaoke show (singer rotation, singer history, etc)?

What kind of specs should I get for my PC build, stability is extremely important.

Thanks!

I have used it at a handful of parties, and it's works pretty well for my needs. In version 8 they've added the ability to make a karaoke list with with singer name (from the party that is). There are probably better softwares for strictly karaoke, but the only other DJ software I can think of is PCDJ.

As far as computer specs: in my opinion anything core i3 or better can do the job fine.

More important had been to run off of 7200rpm or SSD hard drives to avoid loading hiccups in the audio.
