Topic: Music files disappear during long sets

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

2 times during long sets all browswer windows go blank, except default vdj folders. Have to restart computer then vdj is normal again

Ted, you need to learn to provide more information when you have a problem.

1) what are your machine specs?

2) are you doing video / visualizations?

3) what is the CPU percent looking like when you are doing your thing?

4) what are doing within VDJ when it happens? what plugins do you have running if any?

5) is it something that just started happening and was working fine before?

Just some basic information you should provide.

Are your files on an external drive ?
It seems like a drive disconnection to me (and the shortest set I do personally is around 7 hours, therefore I should have noticed if it was a general issue)

I read the word "blank" as "black" so yeah Phantom is probably closer. What happens when you unplug an external drive? If a cable problem then maybe that should do the same thing.

Sorry
CMD 2 controller and no external drive.
All of my music is in two folders in my C/ file tree. those folders vanish from vdj browser window as well as automix window and search window, Closing and opening vdj does not reload music, it takes a computer restart.
Problems came after 7 to 8 hours live time.
