VDJ 7.4.7 Home performs flawlessly with WinXP Pro/SP3 and an Edirol UA-25 sound card.
I did a clean uninstall, and reinstall of v8.2.3994 Home, and the output is very harsh and over-driven sounding.
I'm in the computer business, and the XP build is fresh from the DVD, no bundled junk or malware.
I have no latency issues... it is strictly a v7 vs v8 problem.
Version 7 sounds wonderful, but v8 is not at all acceptable.
Q: am I missing something obvious in the v8 config?
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

its also important to let your soundcard have the same frequency as in virtualdj. I believe virtualdj recognize the frequeny automatically now, but I am not sure. I also have big trouble getting clear sound on my system now. Seems to have happened to one of the latest updates. I have to use one of my old sound card and set it up in an odd way.
btw, I have a denon mc6000mk2 and a terratec sound card. no way i get sound out of the denon now. Only getting ASIO error.
using 8.2.4064
