Topic: Output speakers + headphones setup on Macbook Pro 13"

Hello i recently bought a new macbook and am wondering how to build a setup that plays 1 channel thru speakers and 2nd on my headphones? All I could managed to do was that it plays one through my left headphone and another one through my right. If some1 with the same computer or knowledge would help me clear this problem.

Thank you for that, so if i’m correct I cannot do this with only laptop i will need a controler or mixer at least?

"you will either need two sound cards, a sound card with multiple outputs, or a controller with a built-in sound card"

As a quick fix, get a cheap USB soundcard from Amazon or eBay. I got one for less than 5 pounds. It works just fine at home, but I would not trust it at a gig.
You can then set it up as in the Wikki (Option B).
