Topic: Happy 3rd birthday VirtualDJ 8. :-)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Yes, it's 3 years today since the pre-release of VirtualDJ 8 was unleashed - 11th May 2014

........and 10 days before the public release - 21st May 2014.

Can't remember when I last used VirtualDJ 7, I think it was autumn 2014.
Are you still using VirtualDJ 7? If so, why haven't you updated to VirtualDJ 8? It's FREE updates for life for licensed users.

Maybe it's not 'missing' maybe it's the new capabilities V7 to V8 certainly up'd my performance.

In the 3 years from 8.0 to 8.2 today there's been much user wished additions, if you can put your wish precisely then the dev's are listening...

Agreed. the dev support on this software is simply outstanding.

Still some quirks and omissions from V7 stopping a hell of a lot of people from moving over though.

ive noticed a lot of people still using 7, i think theyre just scared of the change tbh lol

i was a little dubious at first as there was a few bugs here and there when 8 was first released, but i cant fault it nowadays.

Yeah, agreed. Version 8 has been rock solid for quite some time now, even on the early releases for me.

There is a post similar to this on the FB page. Some are holding back because of specific feature changes (video sampler etc), some are of the opinion that if V7 ain't broke then don't change and of course there are a huge number of people using V7 cracked that won't pay to upgrade to 8.
