There is some truth in that. And to be clear, I wont conceal VDJs name. But I think in terms of branding and marketing, there is indeed unused potential left.

I think VDJs bad reputation amongst a lot of dj's comes from the fact that there's a free home version available. So a lot of beginning djs use it, and therefor VDJ has the reputation of being dj software for beginners. The fact that the pro version costs 3 times the amount of Serato or Traktor is something they seem to forget...
Furtheron, VDJ has always been on a mission to make dj'ing easier, and of course the djs who spent years on learning how to mix hate the fact that a software algorithm mixes just as well as they do...

This thread is annoying me a little.
Now I've had a few problems, and a couple of can's..but all of you just wake up!
We have a world dominated by it's banking system, and owned by the very few who want more, and more.
Now we have this guy who created Atomix, and it's good. It's not totally dominated by the "money men". Worse still for the "money men" is that it has an excellent business plan, and has a product sold all over our world. This is why VDJ has been put down for as long as I can remember. It has sod all to do with it's name...so if "they" owned VDJ it would be the "best", and bundled with every controller in the world.
This thread would almost make me suspect this world is fair. Well..it's not. Get used to it.

Hi there it is noting to do with the name guy's it's with the marketing !
example : long time ago when coca cola first was made the guy who make the recipe for coca cola he simple could not sell the coke worldwide because he did not have good connection for marketing so coca cola has been sold only in one state in America that was full potential what he could achieve soon as he understood his position and what is his capacity he decide to sell the recipe, that's why he could not export the product in other states in America why? because of money of course! that's what happens with small companies....
usually happens the people with money wanna buy the whole product or the wanna more then 50% or more of the profit...
or if you don't wanna sell it or do a partnership with big boys they will bash it your product!
why I use VDJ8 because I know all this and I know what is best for me!
Recordbox : most important playlist is crap,skin s nice but all over the screen I can't see the playlist on the bottom,players are to big on the screen,waves are clunky drift etc... you need super spec pc to run that properly ,slow browser,tag the track is crap to,cpu overheating so if your comp... overheating there s possibilities that could be unstable setup think! you can't resize letters on the fly
Vdj 8 :Resize the letters on the fly ,easy to run on old computers as well,nice playlist easy to organize music ,choose the skin with big browser ,easy to tag, low cpu use,the best playlist options ,fast browser, the one most important thing stability is the key that's why I use vdj8 very stable software this software never let me down I feel very confident and relaxed to play with it .....and many more things keeping me to use it .....
About other dj's : bashing the software!I just wanna ask you do you really care what other dj's say? they are competition for you why do you worry about that? that is normal.. even you use the same software will the other dj's respect you more ?think?
Another question? :ask your self do your crowd bother what you use for playing ?or do they care what you play ? stop worry about other dj's saying about other dj's equipment. that is personal thing what you gonna use....
Remember one thing you don't get paid from dj's you get paid for the good created night...do the crowd say to you that you using the wrong software? you just need to create good night they won't bother what you use,they wanna have good night that's all!

I use phantom dj skin I think this skin is the best! try your self ,very professional skin.......
