I don't think so (but maybe at a higher level - we can't see it).

Maybe it will be vector graphics?
 

Vector graphics, or even resizable bitmap elements would be great..

Its kind of possible in the skin designer but if we could simply specify parts of the skin as bitmaps, like a play button and in the xml code it to percentage size...?
You could have all objects seperate and build them up in xml??

Thanks Mr wickedmix, i did do a forum search but it gave nothing as you've spelt your topic on slightly differently, no worries matey.. got there in the end :)

Unfortunately that thread doesn't tell us much either.

OK so the option is unavailable at the moment, but what will it do when it is available?

Come on, you know this: it's not permitted to say anything about things to come; even if somebody knows anything about this.

You don't need a crystal ball to know that skin drawing has been a resource and GPU hog since day one of 8 which should have never been.
 

We know that one of DJ locodog skins do some funky new things that cause the skin to take longer to load on some systems, so perhaps it's a fix in that respect??
We could speculate all night but as we all know, we'll just have to wait and see :)
