Topic: virtual DJ keeps changing the settings in audio config

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hi, the last two updates of virtual DJ has driven me crazy. Even if I save the config to where I know I've got it to work and then save those settings. When I close virtual DJ and open it back up it resets the audio settings back to assio sound driver and then where it says output all away to the right it says error in each one of the boxes I'll open up the assio config and it seems to be set right everything seems to be Wert supposed to be I press the apply button and I get errors all through my output settings. This is happened three weeks in a row last night I couldn't even use a computer I was he able to get the left channel up and working the right channel would only have volume if you brought the right channel up and also the left channel up and then the right channel would play. I am running with the pioneer DDJ SZ controller. and I am stumped at this point I really could use somebody's help in telling me what is going on

Make sure Windows are NOT using the DDJ-SZ soundcard as their default playback and/or communications device and try again

hi it happened again last night to me, tthe only thing I was able to figure out was I was able to get the left player to not only play but volume come out of it and using the right player if I bring the volume up this music shows on the reader of the mixer but nothing's coming out but adding to this if I raise the volume on the left player again the music comes out am totally lost I've tried everything I could possibly try, could you explain to me how I check to see if the DDJ soundcard is the default.

First of all, do you use the FACTORY DEFAULT mapper ?
Second, how's your Audio Setup like ?
It should be like this pic: http://www.virtualdj.com/image/big/56899/197740/AudioSetup.png

Finally, if your sound setup is like above but you get ASIO errors, do the following:

1) Close VirtualDj
2) Open Windows Control Panel
3) Click on "Sound" icon to open the Windows Sound applet
4) Check if DDJ-SZ has any green icons on it. If it does, continue to the following steps:
5) Right click on your laptop's internal soundcard and select "Use as default playback device"
6) Right click on your laptop's internal soundcard again and select "Use as default communications device"
7) Open VirtualDj and try again
