Nothing serious but hey, this is my programming time line:
I'm imagining the following:
Year 2018:
I've got to create a single press custom button and it does everything (with preloading songs with close beats/keys and having assorted crazy mix effects) I would program it to do the full 4 hour mobile party. Yep would just string the craziest script to one button.. It would do everything vdj script could do, automixing with loops, samples, flanging, noise and all sorts of effects. Oh I need to mention if that's the case you will find me at one of the guests tables with my feet up enjoying the food and everything else going on.
Year 2019: Voice control without background interference
I hook up a unidirectional mic with a foot pedal. When I tap on it, I just say the command it it'll do the custom command, plain-mix, effect-mix, shout, cuss the people that give the requests (wait no i dont do that haha) and the laptop voice control will tell a vdj script to do just that.
Year 2020: Retinal control.
I just look at VDJ and it does everything I want. Not bad egh?
Year 2030: Laser light extreme
Laser lights will be powerful enough to give the guests hot foot if they aren't doing there thing on the dance floor. ha

Oh I thought by 2018 VDJ will add a command verb called ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) to know what the guests will be doing during each transition :-O
get_var "$sleeping" & ESP ? play hard_kick_drum_mix : play standard_mix

With the POI editor and actions POIS it is entirely possible to create a whole set and just start it with a single buttonpress.

Actually it would be quicker using the cuemacro plugin as with that you only write the scripts once and they are called by placing a hotcue.
