Any and all advice is appreciated! I have been with VDJ for many many years without any issues.
This Saturday night my RANE MP25 mixer did not pick up a signal until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It worked flawless the rest of the night. However, I was shaking for hours because I thought I may have to use my back up mixer and that meant swapping it out live.
I have decided I want a complete plug and play back up mixer with controller. Just in case my main system goes down. The Denon MC4000 checks all my boxes.
However, I currently run VDJ 7.4 on all my laptops.
Will VDJ 7.4 plug into and work with the Denon MC4000? If not is there any way to make it work. I have the ASIO drivers on my laptop and I currently use my old durable DN-HC-4500. Works great, never had an issue.
I am also running windows 7 on one laptop and windows 8 on another. Will VDJ 8 work on windows 7? How about on windows 8?
Again any and advice or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks. CM

The MC4000 is not supported on version 7.4 .... it a newer controller so version 8 only.
Operation guide here: http://www.virtualdj.com/documents/Denon%20MC4000%20-%20VirtualDJ%208%20Operation%20Guide.pdf
VirtualDJ 8 will work on Windows 7, 8 & 10
You can have VDJ 7 & 8 on the same laptop. The first time you start version 8 it will create a new database cloned from the V7 one and then they are ran separately.

Taking the time to search the forum, find a related thread and post a message.....but not bothering to read the thread.
