Hey there, I just upgraded accounts after using a free version of VJ7. My previous install I was able to map a hotkey to allow for a slow steady crossfade between videos (just the video transition, not audio)
But I can't seem to get this to work with my new versions of either 7 or 8. I have a few gigs before I'm able to get a controller, so I need to address this internally asap.

If your getting paid gigs using vdj you should have a pro licence, even just keyboard use.
It can be a chicken or egg situation so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt
the script you want is
video_transition
optional parameters
video_transition 'left' [transition to left]
video_transition 'right' [to right]
video_transition X% [to percentage]
video_transition Xms [how long the transition takes in ms]
video_transition 'left' Xms [both a direction and a time]
