One of my minor frustrations with VDJ is the forced 44k/16bit mix recording but I found a solution that may be obvious to pros but not so obvious to the rest of us.
Add this free VST plugin to VDJ http://www.voxengo.com/product/recorder/ and enable it on the master plugin chain.
Now you can record at the internal sampling rate of VDJ at up to 32bit (int or float) resolution! I hope this is helpful and have fun mastering.
