Topic: How to Configure / Mapping a 4th Hot Cue Button in VDJ 8.1 using Pioneer XDJ-R1 Skin ?

Hi,
First of all, the VDJ 8 is amazing, what great upgrade. I'm very satisfied with VDJ 8.1 and Pioneer XDJ-R1. The down side is that I have only 3 hot cues buttons on the controller and his skin, and I need more hot cues. So I have 3 questions:

1 - As the XDJ-R1 has the Sync button (That i don't use it) just beside hot cue 3, I would like to mapping / custom it as HOT CUE 4. is that possible ? How ?

2 - Can I configure the Key numbers 1-9 on the laptop keyboard to work as Hot Keys 1-9 ? How ?

3 - The Shift Button on the controller could help me to transform the Hot Cues 1-2-3 into 4-5-6 ?

1 sync mapping - var_equal "sampler" 0 ? hot_cue 4 : sampler_pad 4

2 open the keyboard mapping, click in the key box type a number [1 as example] add script - hot_cue 1

3 more than likely, go into your r1 mapping click key box, press shift and hot cue 1 , add this script - var_equal "sampler" 0 ? hot_cue 5 : sampler_pad 5
 
I have the xdj-r1 and almost every time i want to scratch it would freeze up my vdj or freeze the controller it self . has anyone had this problem? and can it be fixed ???
 
You've already asked that question elsewhere and please do not hijack others threads.
