I have astrange bug with Virtualdj 8 and my controller from Pioneer (DDJ S1). I have had the same experience with a Windows laptop and now with a Macbook. The ideea is that everything works fine with the Pioneer DDJ S1 and VDJ 8 (mapping is perfect, controller is recognised by the software). I am uploading a track on deck B and starts fine, but after ...about 30 minutes... deck B has this bug. The play button is starting with a break effect start ( it starts slowly like you are turning on a vinyl). I have to restart VDJ 8 and everything is ok again...about a half an hour and after that it starts again. Meanwhile if I press CUE or one of the cue points from the controller the song starts right (without the break effect)
I do not have this problem in VDJ 7.... so I suppose that this is a bug from the software, not the laptop, not the OS ( I have experienced this on two different laptops one with Windows 8 and one with OSX El Capitan), not the DDJ controller...
What can this be?
I didn't found anything about this problem on the forum... it seems that I am the only one with this problem...

On your controller, and on each deck side, there is a dial named as BREAKING SPEED ADJUST. This was not mapped in ver 7 - but it is in ver 8 - and adjusts the brakespeed (and startupspeed when SHIFT is pressed).
Make sure the dial is at 0% (minimum position) or if you really dont care of this feature, you can delete the action assigned to keys VINYL_SENSITIVITY and S_VINYL_SENSITIVITY from the Controllers tab of Settings.
Reason not taking action from the beginning, is because maybe the knob doesnt report its position when the unit initializes, and a slight movement during your gig would send its position to VirtualDJ.

This is the solution!
A BIG THANK YOU!
I was trying to find a solution for this for about a year. Now I can switch to VDJ 8 :)
