Topic: Using effects and music stops.

Anyone know why when I try to use sound effects on my laptop the music will just stop. For example: I hit the brake effect and the song will instantly stop.

That's normal for the brake effect.
It simulates the brake (Start/stop) of vinyl.
Change the fx-parameter and you'll see.
 
If this is the effect you are talking about, I am laughing very hard. Think about it, you know that's funny. However, if other effects are making the player or software stop, that is an issue.
 
Thanks. The parameter settings where off. Never even dawned on me to check. Works great now.

Agree with you. This is something for the best of.
Anyway, sometimes anyone of us can't see the wood for the trees ;o)

I really like the brake effect but it should have more parameters and specially a release at normal speed option not a slow-to normal. Maybe if this not possible a slip option to continue playing. ( like the one on rekordbox)
If someone know a VST or options to a better brake please tell us here. thanks

Hello I just bought a DDJ-SX2 I am looking for a way when I press the button PLAY/PAUSE, virtualdj stops the music using a brake... Can anyone help?

He wants play/pause to be play/brake.

I think it would be possible with a little VDJScript. One of our forum script gurus will help.
 
rampStartTime / rampStopTime
do this, no need for scripting.
