ok so the issue I am having is that when I have side b selected in virtual dj 8 for pc, if I want to lets say change the key, I have already custom mapped a certain knob to change the key but it only changes the highlighted side, in this case side b, even if I try to change deck 1 on the controller it still only changes side b's key, I need help on what to type into the button to make deck 1 work for only side a

You can use the following before your command.
Deck 1
Deck 2 etc.
Deck left
Deck right
Deck 1
Deck 2 etc.
Deck left
Deck right

The two FX sides of SX/SX2 don't belong to a deck or a side.
Also each button, knob and encoder is different between the two sides.
This means that most likely you will want to map FX1_ENC_BEATS to deck left key_move and FX2_ENC_BEATS to deck right key_move so that each encoder adjusts key on it's side ;)
