Hi Everyone,
I'll keep this short and sweet. I've been using Numark Cue for 5 years now. Never had any issues with it and a Mixtrack 1 & DJIO when I ran it off a really cheap laptop.
I'm now using a relatively good laptop, still with the newest version of Cue and the Mixtrack Pro 2 - and 40% of the time I have issues.
Occasionally I'll go to a gig, soundcheck, go to start and the controller is just not responsive. So then I have to restart.
It's also extended to issues splitting the audio, but eventually I sort that out.
I'm getting offered more gigs but I'm reluctant due to my gear being tempermental. Can't remember my config settings off the top of my head (if anyone can reccomend some for my specs below that'd be great).
I'm wondering if it could be the need for a new USB cable?
Specs are:
847 (1.10 GHz)
Memory 6GB DDR3 1333MHz (2 memory slots. Max 8GB)
Hard Drive 320GB
CD Drive DVD Writer Model SN-208
Screen 15.6" Widescreen LCD (1366x768)
Video Card Intel Mobile NM70 Chipset (up to 1.7GB shared)
Webcam 1.0 Megapixel
Sound Card High Definition Audio
Network Card Ethernet
Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN
Ports 1x Card Reader
3x USB 2.0
I will add the audio doesn't cut out - just the use of the controller. I can still use Cue with the laptop keyboard.

Check your Device Manager to make sure Windows is not powering down the USB ports.
