I have and external hard drive formatted for Mac file system where i store all my music and a Macbook Pro where i run Virtual DJ 8 Pro. Whenever i start Virtual Dj with my external HD connected i add all my music stored in it to Virtual Dj's database and it works ok, it assumes the paths correctly as "/volumes/mydiskname/". But when i exit Virtual DJ and open it again the filepath to the songs changes to "D:\" so whenever i load the songs there's a file path error. How can i solve this?

P.S: Tried on Virtual DJ7 and the same thing also happens

Where exactly do you see this "D:\" ?

I see it in the file explorer under file path column (if you have it activated to show) and in the tag editor in the file path field

Maybe you should clean your database...

it shouldn't be necessary to clean my database and re-add all of my music everytime i start Virtual DJ

Does VirtualDJ have permission to write to the drive?
Check on the drive's VirtualDJ folder if it contains a database.xml that is not empty.

Also make sure that the drive is connected before starting virtualdj.

Thanks Adion it's solved, i was missing the Virtual DJ folder on my drive because my user didn't have permission to read/write the drive
