Topic: No 'Reload Tags' on single file selection

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,
When you select multiple files and right click, you have a Batch option, "reload tags" that is useful when you edited those tags with mixed in key, metabliss, rekordbox... well any ID tag editor.
However, right clicking a single file does not show this option... And the "edit tags" dialog doesn't offer the feature.

In addition, little feature request about this "Edit Tags" dialog: on multiple files, tags whose value isn't shared among the whole selection will appear blank. Upon saving, there is confusion as to whether those tags "won't change" or "will actually be set blank". Answer: they won't change. One cannot search for '*', Cmd-A, Edit Tags, and blank... say... the Comment tag of all the songs (while setting it to XXX is possible).
The workaround is to search for '*', Cmd-A, Edit Tags, set Comment to 'XXX', save, Edit Tags again, now that Comment is XXX for all songs it will show up in the Comment field, so set it to blank, and save.
There should be 'set blank' checkboxes for each tag, or whatever else is user friendly and offers this feature.

I noticed this too.
I don't know in which build this has changed, but previously when there were multiple values for a tag, the field in the tag editor clearly said that by showing "(multiple values)" in the textbox.

Here is a screenshot of how it was before
