Topic: Virtual DJ freezes when Numark Mixtrack II is plugged in

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey guys,

I purchased a Numark Mixtrack II about a year ago and it came with Virtual DJ LE (Version 7). It has worked perfectly for a long time, however I formatted my computer and reinstalled VDJ on it. Once reinstalled, it continued to work perfect and then one morning it just didn't work. I had used it the previous evening with no problems whatsoever, went to bed, woke up and came back to it and it wouldn't work.

VDJ will load up properly without the Mixtrack plugged in. If I load VDJ up and then plug in the controller, it freezes and crashes to desktop. If the controller is plugged in when I start VDJ, a window pops up saying there is a more recent version that I can download and asks me if I want to download it, but then it freezes and crashes to desktop. I've tried installing and uninstalling VDJ (from the CD, as well as both versions from the website of 7 and 8) and I still can't get the controller to work. I downloaded Mixxx and the controller works (not perfectly because of the mapping) but I love VDJ and want to keep using it.

I also tried deleting the drivers to the Mixtrack and having them reinstall automatically when I plugged it back in, but it seems to have done nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I downloaded the latest version 7.4.6 from the website but am still having the same issues. When the dialog comes up on the screen asking me if I want to close the program, it also shows this.
