Topic: Crossfader drifting In vdj8 with mc6000 controller

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am not sure if this is a bug in the vdj8, a sign of a Crossfader wearing out, or a mapping sentivity issue. But each time I move the Crossfader from right to left or deck 2 to deck 1 on my deonon mc6000, I get a drifting issue where the Crossfader in vdj software will get to the left side than slowly move to the right or jump completely to the right even though the Crossfader on my demon mc6000 is all the way to the left.
Has anyone else encountered this and if so what fix did you do?

that's fader bleed, give the fader a blast with contact cleaner you might get some more life out of it but it's a signal the fader is on the way out so probably best to replace.

Great thanks will give that a try and look for a new Crossfader at the same time.

Having the the same issue and rightly so found it to be the fader at fault.
