I have recently been experiencing issues where the sound has now got increasingly worse through my Powered Speakers. I initially thought mixer, but not the case then looked at the cables and that also was fine. I then bypassed the Sound card and tried using headphone output and this was fine!!! I then went and replaced the soundcard, but again this did not help. I was very frustrated by this. I finally decided to look at the settings in the ASIO Latency (which I do not know much about to be brutally honest). The settings were at 256 and I had had them at this all the time with no problems over the last year. The sound then improved when I set it at 512? Although it seems to improved what I would like to know is why has this suddenly happened on my laptop and does this mean there is a hidden programme or software issue causing this? I am using a Windows 7 Laptop i7 with a Denon DNX1100 mixer with and Numark DJI/O Soundcard.
