Topic: Is my PC up to the job?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi I have been looking for a Karaoke solution for work for a while. I have tried a program called Karafun before but it kept locking up and freezing, I think because there was a processor bottleneck. I have been using Virtual DJ for a while for just audio but not used any video features yet. I just really need to know if my system can handle the extra resources needed to run video.
Specs are:
Operating System
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.70GHz 39 °C
Wolfdale 45nm Technology
RAM
4.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 399MHz (6-6-6-15)
Motherboard
Hewlett-Packard 3646h (XU1 PROCESSOR)
Graphics
S19C200 (1440x900@60Hz)
Generic Non-PnP Monitor (1024x768@60Hz)
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450 (MSI) 59 °C
Storage
232GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAJS-60VWA1 ATA Device (SATA) 40 °C
232GB Western Digital WDC WD2500JS-40NGB2 ATA Device (SATA) 35 °C
Audio
USB Audio Device

Cheers

Should be possible.
But I would suggest a good test run.

It will run with ease.
I'm surprised that you have not added more memory?
Anyway 4gb is fine.
Karaoke using mp3-g is not a demanding task.
